Prune Trees with Your Pole Saw Today!

Annoyed with the long branches and large shrubs outside your house? Trim them with a pole saw! Now, you can safely cut branches without having to step on a ladder and put yourself in danger. Get yourself one, and you’ll see; trimming trees has never been easier with some of the greatest pole saws of 2017.

Pruning Steps:

Scan the Environment

  1. Make sure nobody and nothing are right below the tree/branch you have to fell. The spot should also be clear of fallen branches.
  2. Familiarize the locations of exposed roots. You can’t remove them, so the least you can do is remember where they’re situated so you can perform the trimming procedure later.

Find the Right Location

man-using-pole-saw

Where will you trim? Getting rid of a branch involves a number of preparations, and it’s best to perform jump cuts as they lessen the weight prior to the final cut.

If possible, prune at horizontal surfaces of the branch or vine.

  • In nearly all cuts, the blade should start at the top portion of the branch.
  • To do a jump cut, you should prune from below the branch. Jump cuts need more physical energy because they are accomplished by going against gravity.
  • Trimming water sprouts is tough and may be out of the question because they’re vertical.

Hold the Saw Properly

  1. pole-sawPosition the pole saw vertically with your two hands. Stop. Get used to its weight as you will have to control it.
  2. Next, place the saw on top of the branch you’ll cut (this isn’t applicable if you’re making a jump cut).
  3. Prepare yourself. Get to a position where you’ll be able to hold the end of your pole saw at chest level. You should be standing far away from the side of the limb. The saw must be at an angle while you cut, and not up and down. Extend your pole if possible.

Trim, trim, trim!

  1. man-using-pole-sawStart with slow and controlled strokes. Be sure you’re cutting vertical to the branch. Doing so will make the strokes sink as deep as they could. Making a groove in the wood is what’s important at first as the groove will be the guide for the next faster strokes. Don’t worry if the cut goes to a different location. Your pole saw might slip if the branch is sloped—expect this to happen. When this occurs, stop, gather your energy, and readjust the saw before you continue.
  2. Carry on. You can go faster once your pole saw is fastened to the groove. You must always check the branch you’re pruning, especially when it’s about to fall.

Clean Up

It’s essential that you clean up every time a branch has fallen before you proceed to trim another branch. This is to keep the area clear of anything that might hinder a successful operation.

Awesome Breakup Songs Of Today’s Generation

breakup

If you hear the word breakup, what comes first into your mind?

Is it the pain after the breakup? Or is it the people involved in a breakup?

It’s usually both, right? There are also the memories of being together, as well as the memories of being apart – both of which are told in songs.

And you know what? These will give you a story that will forever mark other people’s hearts, just like that of Smashing Pumpkins Today cover.

That being said, here are some awesome breakup songs of today’s generation:

Back To December By Taylor Swift

Released back in 2010 on Taylor Swift’s Speak Now album, Back to December is probably the most awesome breakup song of today’s generation. It doesn’t just make one realize what has been lost, but also make one realize what has been gained. It doesn’t just make one realize the value of a person, but also the value of one’s self. Most of all, it’s not just about what happened between Taylor Swift and then-boyfriend Taylor Lautner. It’s also about what will happen if you let pride get the best of you – a life without that person who has always been there for you.

The Scientist By Coldplay

Released back in 2002 on Coldplay’s A Rush of Blood to the Head album, Scientist is probably the most remarkable breakup song of today’s generation. It doesn’t just make one learn more about the complexities of being in a relationship, but also make one learn about the complexities of relationships itself. It doesn’t just make one learn more about the value of relationships, but also the value of people. Even more so, it represents a deeper meaning to scientists who get caught up in their work. It’s also about not taking for granted what’s already there in front of you – even if some things in life get better.

David Byrne: How architecture helped music evolve

“The writer, Thomas Frank, says that this might be a kind of explanation why some voters vote against their best interests, that voters, like a lot of us, assume, that if they hear something that sounds like it’s sincere, that it’s coming from the gut, that it’s passionate, that it’s more authentic. And they’ll vote for that. So that, if somebody can fake sincerity, if they can fake passion, they stand a better chance of being selected in that way, which seems a little dangerous. I’m saying the two, the passion, the joy, are not mutually exclusive.

Maybe what the world needs now is for us to realize that we are like the birds. We adapt. We sing. And like the birds, the joy is still there, even though we have changed what we do to fit the context.”

Famous instrumentalist David Byrne talks about music, venues, and how context sparked innovations in the music industry.

Evelyn Glennie: How to truly listen

Deaf percussionist Evelyn Glennie demonstrates how listening to music goes beyond just using our ears to hear the sounds. It is an awe-inspiring talk that provides a glimpse into the power and depth of music and how we can always learn new ways of truly enjoying it.
